Founding Members

Andreas Walbrodt
Founder & CEO
Andreas is CEO of enclaive. He has spent more than three decades leveraging technology and innovation to enable forward-looking and creative business models, identifying new ventures, establishing new businesses, and growing existing teams. Among a diverse set of topics and responsibilities, he has been building business models for cloud and utility services since the early 2000s. In the last few years, his focus has been on bringing security and protection into increasingly distributed data and processes. Andreas looks back on more than 15 years with IBM as Sales Director and 5 years as Member of the Executive Management TÜV Rheinland i‑Sec GmbH.

Prof. Dr. Sebastian Gajek
Founder & CTO
Sebastian is CTO of enclaive and professor for IT security at Flensburg University. He has been working for over 10 years on the holy grail of computing: processing encrypted data. He was Chief Scientist with NEC, driving their security innovation. An alumnus of Tel Aviv University, he holds a PhD in Information Security from the Horst Görtz Institute, a leading institute for IT security research in Germany. Sebastian also holds 10+ patents and publications in the field of confidential compute.
Board Members

Ammar Alkassar
Ammar is an experienced entrepreneur and venture partner. He recently served as State Government Commissioner for Strategy, CIO and Chief Digital Officer and was a member of Germany’s Federal IT Planning Council. Before, he was CEO at Rohde&Schwarz Cybersecurity, and was a co-founder and CEO at Sirrix AG security technologies. Ammar served as member of the Permanent Stakeholder Group at the European Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA) and as non-executive director of the German NIS Association as well as of the European Center for Cybersecurity.

Dr. Rainer Baumgart
With a doctorate in physics, Rainer looks back on a 30-year career in IT security and held senior positions at RWTÜV AG. As CEO of secunet Security Networks AG, he led the company from its founding in 1997 until his retirement in 2019 to becoming a European market leader for high security technology. He continues to be involved as a consultant for secunet and RWTÜV, among others. On the European level, he was an active member of the ENISA (European Network Information Security Agency) Stakeholder’s Group. Rainer is a board member of Eurobits, an association for cybersecurity and partner of ECSO. He is also co-founder of eleQtron, a startup company developing quantum computers.

Prof. Dr. Norbert Pohlmann
Norbert is Professor for Cybersecurity in the Computer Science Department and the director of the Institute for Internet Security – if(is) at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences Gelsenkirchen. He is also chairman of the board of the IT Security Association TeleTrusT and member of the board of the Internet Industry Association eco. Since 2020, Norbert has been a member of the ENISA (European Network Information Security Agency) Advisory Group.
